45. London - Casa Nunns and Spadon

We had a few days off between sits which gave us the opportunity to see and stay with Ellen and Daniel once again. We are very grateful that they let us stay. Very grateful.

The weather is improving and I used that opportunity to go to the centre of London to see the iconic Big Ben. No guesses as to what time I was there!

These people were not lining up to use the phone... They wanted selfie pics with these iconic booths still active in the UK.

A close up

A quick visit to the Tate museum

I found out that David Bowie was born and spent his childhood not far from where Daniel and Ellen live. I am still a fan of his music and could not leave London again without seeing the place, so, after a quick walk, I found it!

Sunset over Clapham

A quick drink while watching a jazz combo in a cafe next door to Casa Nunns-Spader.

We ran into Adam Gillett, son of Lesley, a very good friend from the Maleny area. Adam is in the middle of moving house and was generously put up at Casa Nunns-Spadon while Daniel and Ellen went to Amsterdam for a few days. Interesting topics were discussed over a couple of meals...
I'm looking forward to catching up with him again as he has a heap of music/DJ gear that has lots of lights and knobs to turn. That will happen once he settles in his new place.

Look! We are wearing t-shirts!

Adam took over our room when we went to our next dog sit in Tonbridge. The timing was perfect as Dan and Ellen got back the day we had to leave.

Next time your in London check out Abbey road studios. It was great fun , the brick wall out the front was covered with message & we added our own , along with plenty of other visitors. I think
The sign said “no graffiti “ lol Then of course we had to recreate the iconic Abbey Road album photo on the pedestrian crossing , although we were only half a beetle lol πŸ˜‚
