46. Tonbridge - House and Pet Sitting - Episode 5
The trip to Tonbridge (pronounced tun-bridge) only took 45 minutes by fast train from London Bridge station. The countryside was beautiful with endless green fields. Upon arriving we were greeted by Kate, Tim and 14-month-old Freddie. They introduced us to Crumble the dog and Pippi the cat. Crumble took to us straight away and Pippi ignored us til dinner time.
Crumble took us on a 3km walk around a nearby lake. Plenty of birdlife here. They also allow recreational fishing which means you can't keep the catch and must throw the fish back in.
Crumble really loved that walk.

And let's not forget the squirrels.
Never a dull moment back at the house.
Most of the houses in the UK are very compact and the ladders they call stairs are diabolically steep.
The day we left was a sad day for all. The owners were not due back for a few hours and Crumb knew we were leaving.
The next post will include visits to the Tonbridge area and Sevenoaks. Until next time!
