62. Southend On Sea - House and Pet Sitting - Episode 11
All through the journey to Southend-On-Sea we were both still having withdrawal symptoms from the previous sit. We had quite a walk from the train station to the house and the area was very ordinary indeed. Lots of shuttered shops and dirty streets made us ask, "Where have we come?" As we approached the house, to our relief, the area improved immensely.
We were met by Cleo, the sister of the house/pet owner. She introduced us to the pets and showed us around the place.
Wherever we go, we have to learn quickly where everything is kept, and in this case, how to open the shower door (that had its own personality), when the bins go out, what time the dogs and cats get fed etc.
Here are Bella and Buddy, two ball-obsessed spaniels who are both 11 years young can run like the wind. They relaxed with us straight away which made the whole sit so easy.
The dogs have a set routine when it comes to ball fetching.
A few kilometres away was a tourist area with an amusement park that also boasted the longest leisure pier in the world.
Here's proof we did it.

That pier looks fab. We've got a pretty pier in Penarth, I'll take you, next visit xx
