110. 'Allan's Farm' - Shaftesbury - UK - House and Pet Sitting - Episode 34

We had a night to fill between sits and booked a room in Salisbury to break up the trip to Shaftesbury. There was a couple from Sweden staying in the same house with whom we got on with very well. So much so that we all went out for dinner that night and the chatter never stopped. What becomes obvious is that most people in Australia have a command of one language whereas Europeans have 2 or 3 languages under their belt if not more.

The next morning we made the 1 hour trip to Shaftesbury which was the first sit we've done on a working farm. greeted by the lovely young farming family, we became aware that it's so quiet. Normally we hear a freeway in the distance no matter how rural we think we are, but here it's serene.

Some of these roads are precarious. This is actually a 2-way road and with hedges on both sides, there's nowhere to go!

All went well with this 10-day sit. We are now off to Royal Tunbridge Wells for our next adventure.
