73. Stratford upon Avon - House and Pet Sitting - Episode 15

A three-hour drive from High Halden to Stratford-upon-Avon and we met the slightly ADHD Clemmie.

The M25 freeway out of London was a challenge as it was raining and very busy with traffic. Once we hit the M40, the weather cleared and the traffic thinned and made the rest of the journey a pleasure.

We're only with Clemmie for two days but we have another sit just up the road for a week. We were grateful to be able to book them back to back.

Clemmie is not yet one year old and even though she was a bit of a handful at times, she was a gentle and lovely-natured puppy. We are told she is an American Labrador.  She's a bit hyperactive and had to be held to calm her down or there was no stopping her. She seemed to have no 'off' switch and we, like the owners, had to help her learn it.

The house is a 3-bedroom renovated barn and quite cute with the original trusses in place.

Very chilled puppy (at night anyway).

Is it my playing that puts dogs to sleep?  Yes
Yes, it is!  In a good way. Music hath charms etc.

A view from the back of the property

The two days went too quick and before we knew it we were having to familiarise ourselves with a new place and new dogs. Sue and her husband had been lovely hosts and we were invited back any time.
