115. Autumn in Sevenoaks

It's been a while since our last post however, better late than never.

We arrived back in Sevenoaks and stayed at Daniel and Ellen's place while they were in Majorca, Spain, where Daniel had been taking flying lessons. Sevenoaks has become very familiar to us now, and it feels like a home away from home. The difference this time is that Autumn had arrived, and what a wonderful time of the year that is!

On our daily walk into town, we passed one particular property with a beautiful Japanese maple tree that was about to change colour, so I decided to take a few time-lapse pictures and stitch them together.

Our daily walks took us past some impressive properties also showing the trademark autumn colours.

And the moss...

We thought we'd try our luck at a local quiz night. After being put on a table with some women celebrating a school reunion, we earned the respect of our tables when we correctly answered a question about the 'Gabba' cricket ground.

Our team went on to win. The win was based on a toss of a coin as we drew with another table. The prize was 75 pounds (150 AUD) but too little an amount to share across the whole table.
An elimination round ensued, and all 12 people had to choose heads or tails. It got down to 5- me, and 4 others. They all chose heads, and I chose tails. Say no more!

These little fellas drew our attention at Knole House

Picking up some raw milk from a local farm, we met a young Jersey calf and...

a Herdwick sheep

I've been fortunate to have been given some work on a video project based back in Brisbane. It's kept me out of trouble and out of Max's hair. (much to her relief) Having the time to work on it is a blessing and hopefully, the work will continue for a few months.

Just for a change in pace, we venture off for a pet sit in London for a week...
